Blessing of the Animals, Olvera Street
On the Saturday before Easter I went to Olvera Street to see Cardinal Roger Mahoney bless pigs, horses, snakes, guinea pigs, iguanas and of course hundreds of dogs and cats. Many people were in traditional dress and there were Aztec dancers, too. What fun.
